FIT In-Home

If you can't get to the gym, we'll come to you.

You might find that it's more convenient to work out with one of our trainers in the comfort and privacy of your home. Our in-home fitness techniques include the use of free weights, jump rope, resistive tubing, Swiss ball, exercise step, and mat.
We could remove every piece of equipment out of the gym and still give you the greatest workout because of our trainers' extensive knowledge in the science and practice of exercise.

Instructors are available between 6:00AM to 10:00PM Monday through Saturday.

What kind of space do I need to work out?

We can adjust your living room, office, etc. to do a full free weight training, stretching and alignment or any other session. All we need is at least 50 sq. feet of free space.

I don't have any equipment...

We require you to have a yoga mat and a pair of dumbbell weights. THAT'S ALL. The rest? Your Trainer will provide with the rest of the required workout instruments such as jump rope, resistive tubing, Swiss ball, exercise step, etc.

Should I use free weights or machines?

There are distinct advantages to each. But here some good reason why FIT In-home it's a great option not only for your schedule and lifestyle but for your fitness Goals.

MOMMY FIT

Let us help you to get back in shape or to get in better shape after your pregnancy in the comfort and privacy of your house.

Following childbirth, a woman who gained an average amount of weight (25-35 pounds) during pregnancy can expect to regain her pre-pregnancy figure and weight in about 12 weeks. Exercising with consistency will help tighten the pelvic floor muscles (Kegel exercises), the abdominal muscles and strengthen the back muscles.

Exercising for as little as 10 minutes a day and gradually increasing as time permits will help get you back into shape. A daily routine or a minimum of three times a week exercise program is better than an intermittent activity (e.g., just on weekends). If the birth was cesarean, consult with the doctor about when to begin an exercise program.

Recovery time from child birth will vary among women depending on pre-pregnancy fitness condition, amount of weight gained, how much the abdominal wall expanded and how much time and effort a woman is willing to give to improving her body. Additional factors include diet, amount of rest obtained and types of activities you are involved in.

Crash dieting is never recommended to lose excess pregnancy weight, even if you are not breast-feeding. It can lead to excessive tiredness, general ill health and even depression. Eating sensibly with emphasis on nutrition will help you return to the peak of fitness. Our Nutritionist will guide you trough a Customized Nutritional Meal Planning.

We plan an exercise program that includes aerobic activity, along with specific exercises designed to tighten the pelvic floor muscles and abdominal muscles that are loose and soft.

Advantages of Exercise

Exercise will help flatten the abdomen and tighten the perineum and promotes healing of uterine, abdominal and pelvic muscles that were involved in pregnancy and child birth. Exercise can help avoid urinary incontinence (leakage of urine). Exercising can bring benefits of health to your life including:

FITNESS OVER 50

Regular physical fitness activity has beneficial effects on most (if not all) internal organ systems, and consequently it prevents a broad range of health problems and diseases.

Regular Fitness Activity

Fitness programming can reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases such as heart disease. Regular personal fitness instruction can aid in the management of active problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, or high cholesterol.

Fitness Over 50: Women

Once a woman reaches menopause, her body undergoes tremendous changes. Hormone levels fluctuate, and the body's metabolism slows. Women over fifty often find it difficult to drop those pesky extra pounds--weight that could contribute to heart disease or diabetes later in life. Because of these dramatic physiologic changes, physicians are prescribing exercise for women over fifty as a means to a healthy, enjoyable future.

Menopause: The Turning Point

Menopause marks a significant milestone in a woman's personal life. Additionally, menopause forces many physiological changes, some hazardous to a woman's health if left unattended. Just after menopause, a woman's risk of developing cardiovascular disease begins to catch up to that of a man's

The Benefits Of Exercise Are Countless

Regular personal fitness training will diminish and, in many cases, reverse negative health effects common to menopause. The risk for heart attack and stroke increases with menopause, the level of good cholesterol falls and bad cholesterol rises. This puts women at greater risk for heart disease. Regular fitness exercise and a low-fat diet, however, can help regulate cholesterol and help us to maintain a healthy weight.

The debilitating effects of osteoporosis can be slowed with regular exercise when the activities include weight-bearing exercises to strengthen bones. Pulling and stretching movements also aid in maintaining optimal bone density. But probably the most overlooked benefits of personal fitness training for women over fifty are the social rewards. Especially for older adults, social contacts and dedicated personal motivation can renew energy and spirit alike.
